Great Market! Not wanting to go to big stores during covid and wanting to support local businesses I decided to shop here for my needs. While others complained they couldn't find TP, Yeast, Eggs. They had it all and people respected space. I'll shop here for the rest of my life.
It makes me feel like I'm in mexico. I love the variety of products they have. The cashiers were super helpful, they even told me how make Posole.... I already knew but I like trying new recipes. This area might not be the greatest, but there are a lot of hidden gems around here. This market for sure is one! Definitely coming back here to get pan dulce!
Going to make Mexican for dinner? This is the place for groceries! Fresh meat behind the counter with a butcher on hand no matter if you are cooking up Mexican or ANY cuisine. Lot's of "local" items... Like Soap from South America, Mexican pastries, lots and lots of fresh vegies, tortillas and the like. Friendly friendly employees as well. My "local" grocery for sure!
OK, another "Experience in East Oakland". This small market is really good, good prices, you can find not just Mexican products, try the frozen fruit pulp, the staff is really friendly, i don't really know if they speak English but I'm pretty sure that any "adventurous" will be OK and they will be able to help you, every time that i go there I spend less than, going to Safeway or Albertson. If you are learning Spanish, coming to this place is a good test !!!! Every time that i walk around here i feel in "Mexico Lindo "
the four people up front are vary helpful, I lost my wallet and I was really scared that it was stolen, but the next day I went back to the store and i talked to them i asked if they had found my wallet. they said they need confirmation of how much money was in it so I told them and they gave it back to me with everything still in it.
